How times change - just under a year ago, Britney Spears described her marriage to Kevin Federline as “awesome” - but now she’s said the same thing about being single.
Britney made the latest comment to People magazine while attending the Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons and KLS Collection Fall 2007 fashion show in New York on Friday night. Ashlee Simpson loves being single.
The 22-year-old singer insists she is in no rush to settle down and has rubbished rumours she is dating Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz.
Asked if there was any romance between her and the rocker, Ashlee told Bliss magazine: "On no - we're just friends.
"He's awesome, a very cool guy, He's a sweetheart. But I'm enjoying the single life right now and enjoying having some 'me' time."
