Johnny Depp may take over Heath Ledger’s role in what has become his last film role.
Heath was filming the Terry Gilliam fantasy film The Imaginarium of Doctor Panassus in London last weekend and after short break at home in New York, was set to return to the UK for six more weeks of filming next week.
An inside source told the Sun: “There is a point in the film when Heath falls through a magic mirror. He could change into another character after that and that is where Johnny would come in.”

Johnny Depp wants to make ''Pirates of the Caribbean'' films for the rest of his career.
The Hollywood actor, who plays Captain Jack Sparrow in the hit adventure series, has no intention of hanging up his pirate hat and is prepared to keep making sequels.
He told Top of the Pops magazine: "I'll never get bored of Captain Jack, he is so much fun. If they wanted to do 'Pirates 7,' why not?"

Johnny Depp has vowed to give up acting until his sick daughter has made a full recovery.
Depp, 43, had been working on a new movie version of Sweeney Todd before seven-year-old Lily-Rose became ill.
She was admitted to a London hospital two weeks ago but was released on 9 March and is being looked after by Depp and his wife Vanessa Paradis.

Johnny Depp's daughter Lily-Rose has left hospital.
The relieved actor carried the seven-year-old from the London hospital she has been staying in for nine days last night (03.08.07).
Johnny's spokesman Robin Baum said: "We are happy to report that their daughter is doing much better. The family greatly appreciates the continued support and respect of their privacy."
Johnny, 43, and his long-term partner Vanessa Paradis - along with their five-year-old son John Jack - took Lily-Rose back to their London hotel.

Johnny Depp loves being labeled weird.
The actor - who has portrayed a host of eccentric characters on the big screen, including Captain Jack Sparrow in "The Pirates of the Caribbean" and Willy Wonka in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" - believes he discovered who he really is as a person by taking on oddball roles.
