Nicole Richie attacked those extra holiday calories yesterday with a vigorous hike though LA's Runyon Canyon trail.
After her 30-minute expedition, Nicole and her pal dropped by McDonald's for some fries and an extra order of trans fats.(pleaseeee that's for the camera!)

It's only been a month since Nicole Richie announced she was seeking treatment for her inability to gain weight, but friends are noticing a difference, PEOPLE reports in its upcoming issue.
