A week after their second daughter's birth, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have announced her name..
It is Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck.
The baby was born Jan. 6 in Los Angeles. Garner and Affleck, both 36, are also parents to daughter Violet, 3.
While no explanation was offered for the name, or if she was named for anyone, one Web site specializing in the origin of names refers to Seraphina as "derived from the Biblical word 'seraphim,' which was Hebrew in origin and meant 'fiery ones.' "
Just weeks after rumours of a pending separation, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have reportedly told friends that they’re expecting their second child together.
A source told the National Enquirer: “A few days before the Fourth of July, Jen began calling close pals with the news that she was pregnant again. Jen said she’s three months along - and she and Ben are ‘ecstatic’.

Matt Damon has joked that hitting the big time with best friend Ben Affleck had its disadvantages.
The pair, who grew up near each other in Boston, both had a number of small acting roles before writing the script for Good Will Hunting. The film, in which they starred, thrust them both into the limelight and earned them the 1997 ‘Best Original Screenplay’ Oscar.

For a couple as low-key as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, it was fitting that their daughter's baptism was a down-home affair.
Little Violet Affleck, who turned 1 on Dec. 1, was baptized on Christmas Eve at Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, W. Va., where her mother grew up.
Garner's parents, sister and brother-in-law are members of the church, where Violet's cousin Alex was baptized the same day, the Associated Press reports.

Ben spent some time at the Venice Film Festival to promote his new film Hollywoodland, but decided to leave the festivities a bit early. And by leaving early, Ben missed his name being called for the Best Actor Award as George Reeves in the movie. He may not want to use the C word for this film, but I think this proves it's definitely his big come back. He said, "If I thought for a second that there were going to be awards for anybody, I would have stayed!"

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck took in a Boston Red Sox game against the Angels, and Ben almost made the Red Sox's day. A foul ball was hit while the Angel's were on defense. Anyway, Howie Kendrick (#47) caught the ball out of a fans hand. All the fans booed, and when they did a close up, the fan was Ben Affleck, watching the game with Jennifer Garner.
