Paris Hilton tipped off paparazzi in Hawaii, claims source
Despite pledges that she’d leave her old ways behind, Paris Hilton has gone straight back to her old paparazzi-courting ways according to onlookers in Hawaii over the weekend.
Paris flew out to Maui last Thursday and a source told the New York Post that she had a bit of difficulty finding a last-minute place to stay: “Paris tried to check into the Four Seasons first, but they turned her down. She then tried to stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani, but they turned her down, as well.”
“She finally got a place at the Grand Wailea Resort, but that’s because it was a Hilton. We all thought it was hilarious that the Hilton hotel was her third choice.”
Another source claimed Paris kept the island’s paparazzi informed of her every step: “The paparazzi told us that Paris calls them herself. [One photographer said] ‘We love her. She lets us know where she’s going to be so we can take as many pictures as we want’.”
The source said this was exemplified on Sunday: “She was shopping at the Wailea concourse, strutting around, posing for the cameras. It was disgusting.”
But the source added that Paris didn’t tell the snappers about her evening plans: “She slipped out of the hotel and went to the club at the Hyatt a couple of times. She made friends with a couple of local guys and made out with them there. I guess she didn’t want pictures of herself doing that. It’s amazing. She hasn’t changed at all.”
Paris’ publicist Elliot Mintz denies the rumours, saying she stayed at a private residence as intended all along “and as for dropping dimes on the paparazzi, the last thing she needs is more paparazzi coverage.”
The heiress flew back to California late last night to celebrate Independence Day with her family in Malibu.
