Michelle Williams back at work after Heath Ledger death
JUST 48 hours after burying her ex-partner Heath Ledger, Michelle Williams returned to work today in a macabre setting almost next door to where the actor died. A sombre Michelle Williams has returned to New York with her two-year-old daughter Matilda Rose - the child she had with 28-year-old Heath Ledger who died in Manhattan of an accidental prescription drug overdose on January 22.
Today, the courageous 26-year-old was on the SoHo set of her upcoming film Mammoth, just three blocks from the Broome Street loft where daughter Matilda's father died, PageSix.com reports.
Shy and serious, Michelle was filming inside a macabre setting, especially for her first day back at work: the Evolution store on Spring Street, which sells exotic bones.
Michelle had stopping filming on the movie immediately after learning of Ledger's death and today was her first day back on set.
PageSix reports that just before his death, Heath Ledger had told friends in Australia how much he missed Matilda, who was Michelle in January in Sweden where she was filming scenes of Mammoth.
Movie insiders say the sad truth is that he would have been reunited with her this month, because Michelle was due back in New York for filming.
