Michael Jackson files lawsuit against accountants
Michael Jackson has launched legal action against his former accountants, claiming they misrepresented him with unauthorised business deals.
Jackson is seeking unspecified damages after accusing Bernstein, Fox, Whitman, Goldman and Sloan of keeping him out of the loop of financial affairs worth $2.5 million (£1.3 million).
The 48-year-old ended his financial relationship with the accountants in August.
The lawsuit filed at Los Angeles superior court claims that the firm charged him millions of dollars for business ventures he had not approved, committing negligence and breach of fiduciary duty in the process.
Earlier this year Jackson's representatives claimed he was being defrauded by his associates.
