Mel B names daughter after Eddie
Spice girl alum Melanie Brown has named her new daughter after alleged father Eddie Murphy. Brown insists that Angel Iris Murphy Brown, born in LA in early April, was fathered by the comedian despite Murphy's claims to the contrary. Of the name, Brown said in a statement, "Angel, as she was my little angel through my pregnancy... Iris, as it's my grandma's name. Murphy, because he's the dad. And Brown, because I'm the mum!" The baby made her public debut in a spread in the UK's OK! mag. "I look at the baby and she has his big smile and dimples," Brown told the mag. "She's gorgeous. She has taken the best bits of both of us. He will always be a part of my life. I will always love him. I couldn't hate Eddie. We had a dream life."
