Kevin Knew about Jamie Lynn First!
Ex-in-law Kevin Federline's closeness to the Spears clan has put him in a few precarious situations. First he kept his wedding to Britney Spears a secret from her devastated younger sister, and now, three years later, he stayed mum on Jamie Lynn's pregnancy until Britney found out on her own.
"Kevin knew before Britney that Jamie Lynn is pregnant," a Federline family insider told PageSix.com. "In fact, Britney's [somewhat estranged] mom Lynne, [who has become tight with Kevin in the wake of her troubles with her daughter and grandchildren], told Kevin about it on Monday, [December 17], because Lynne wanted Kevin to be prepared when Britney found out."
The pop star, 26, frequently calls upon her former hubby during difficult times, and news of the Zoey 101 star's impending motherhood was expected to shake up Brit Brit. She learned that her 16-year-old sister was three months along with a child by high-school sweetheart, Casey Aldridge, 18, when the rest of the world did, on December 18.
"We're waiting for the fallout from Britney," the insider added. "Kevin is sure Britney will flip out and blame her mom and dad."
