In place of momma Nicole Kidman's constant absence, Katie Holmes played the role of doting step-mother yesterday by taking hubby Tom Cruise's daughter Isabella out for a "girls only" shopping spree.
Rocking a black cardigan, white pencil skirt and fishnets, Katie looked like a little debutante strolling through the isles -- albeit a very tired-looking one.
After dining at Tom's favourite steakhouse Mastro's, Katie and Isabella hit up Barney's, Kate's home away from home, for some retail therapy. And considering the fact that the Church of Scienotology bans psychiatry, this may be the best form of release for the 13-year-old daughter of Hollywood's nuttiest nut.
