Justin Timberlake Tops Billboard
After selling an astonishing 250,000 copies as a digital download, Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack" surged 30 places to seize the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart Thursday.
The lead single from the artist's upcoming Jive album "FutureSex/LoveSounds" ends the three-week run of Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie's "London Bridge," which fell to No. 2.
"SexyBack" is the second chart-topper for Timberlake. Just over six years ago, he had his first No. 1 when boy band 'N Sync led the list with "It's Gonna Be Me." Timberlake's previous best as a solo artist was "Cry Me a River," which peaked at No. 3 in February 2003.
