Jessica Simpson: Tony Romo is the calm in the storm of my life
Jessica Simpson heaped praise on boyfriend Tony Romo at her gig in Dallas on Friday night.
Speaking during her performance at the State Fair of Texas, she told the crowd: “Wow, I love Dallas. Obviously, I love Dallas because I grew up here and this is my home - you guys are my family - but I [also] found an amazing boyfriend here in Dallas!”
“[He is] the calm of the storm in my life [and] whatever I go through, I know I can depend on him to relax and bring me faith again.
“Sometimes, to find a love as big as that, you have to go through some heartbreak, some ugly ones and some butthead ones. You go through that to really appreciate where you are in life right now.”
She added that while she wrote ‘My Sunday’ for Tony, she wrote the song ‘Still Don’t Stop Me’ for one of the awful exes: “For some reason, I kept letting some guy come into my life. I couldn’t understand it until I wrote this song and was like, ‘Jessica, you need to wake up.’”
Jessica was first linked to Tony late last year. She was previous married to Nick Lachey and dated John Mayer.
