David Arquette: Jennifer Aniston doesn’t hate Angelina Jolie
David Arquette has told Howard Stern’s Sirius radio show that he didn’t see Jennifer Aniston cry over her split from Brad Pitt and that Jennifer doesn’t hate Angelina Jolie.
David, who’s married to Courteney Cox Arquette, said “when the marriage ended, it was sad,” but he never saw Jennifer cry: “not one tear shed”.
He added that finding out Brad was with Angelina was “pretty much a surprise” and joked “they wouldn’t have broke up if not for [her]” before adding: “But all kidding aside with this whole thing, Jennifer is the greatest girl.”
“Those magazines, they take something and it’s working for them so they play it out, but she’s not really that sad about the whole thing. She’s the greatest, she’s such a sweetheart, she’s so funny.
“I don’t think Jennifer hates [Angelina], I don’t think it’s like that. The way [the magazines] depict it is completely wrong. She’s a very strong woman, she’s totally solid and she’s just got a great attitude.”
David added that he’s doesn’t think ill of Brad even after everything: “I love Brad, he’s a great guy. He did some stuff that hurt our friend, but you know…”
“I spoke to him once [since the split]. We didn’t actually speak, I texted him, I just said congratulations on the baby and he wrote back.”
He also denied rumours that Jennifer’s subsequent relationship with Vince Vaughn was just a publicity stunt by saying: “No, no, they dated, they really cared about each other.”
