Anna Nicole Smith’s home burgled: photos, documents stolen
Anna Nicole Smith’s home in the Bahamas was burgled on Friday - just hours after Anna Nicole died in Florida.
A source close to her partner Howard K Stern revealed that a number of letters and legal papers were taken from the house as well as photo albums and home videos from the first months of baby Dannielynn’s life.
The source said: “He was devastated. He was in tears when he saw what was gone.”
“I think he’s lost virtually every photograph and video he had of the baby. Howard said lots of important legal papers and documents had gone too.”
Howard has flown back to the Bahamas to be with Dannielynn, who he claims is his daughter, and was photographed as he was reunited with the baby, saying: “This is the only piece of Anna I have left. I know Anna loved her more than anything in the world.”
But Anna Nicole’s mother Virgie Arthur is not impressed by Howard’s concern for the little girl. She has flown to the Bahamas to seek custody of the tot and said: “He seems more upset about the loss of his photographs than at the loss of my daughter.”
“My daughter and grandson Danny have both died. Howard Stern is not the right person to be looking after her.”
Virgie will seek custody of the child based on the fact she was Anna Nicole’s legal next of kin but Anna Nicole is rumoured to have named Howard as Dannielynn’s guardian in her will.
Howard, who is named as the father on the birth certificate, said regarding Virgie’s claim: “Anna despised that woman. As long as I have breath in my body that woman will not see Dannielynn. She has no right. She can’t take my baby. She can’t take Anna’s baby.”
Pending the outcome of the ongoing legal dispute with the family of Anna Nicole’s late husband, J Howard Marshall, Dannielynn could be set to inherit around $500million of Marshall’s fortune.
