A-Rod "just friends" with Madonna
Following weeks of rumours, baseball star Alex Rodriguez has denied he is in a romantic relationship with Madonna.
A-Rod says he finds reports linking him to the 50-year-old laughable: "I've ... read that we were buying an apartment together. That is absolutely ridiculous."
But the Yankees player, who divorced his wife, Cynthia, in September, says he has a deep "philanthropic" connection with the Material Girl.
A-Rod says he recently found that he and Madonna "shared a lot of the same commitments toward helping children."
